Science communication masterclasses have been completed for FameLab Australia finalists. From stage craft to story arcs to voice control – communicating science in engaging and memorable ways requires a range of skills and crafts. FameLab Australia provides finalists with a series of masterclasses held online over two days.
While the science communication skills learned by the 12 finalists will most certainly make the National Final, held at the WA Museum Boola Bardip on 18 September in front of a live public audience, a captivating experience to watch, the primary objective is to have a career-long positive impact on the finalists. These life-long skills are made possible by FameLab’s generous partners, like The University of Western Australia.
FameLab’s long-term education view aligns with UWA’s motto “Seek Wisdom”, which has been the driving ethos of the university since its establishment in 1911. For more than 100 years, WA’s oldest university has made a remarkable contribution to the state, country and world’s benefit.
