About this Event
This secure facility is normally not open to the general public and access is strictly by invitation only, however we are pleased to invite you to attend an exclusive Artefact Circle Donor tour of the CRC, which is home to more than 8.5 million objects from across the Museum’s diverse collections and meet some of the Museum’s scientists, researchers and curators whose research push the boundaries of knowledge and science.
Visitors will tour various research areas such as the Harry Butler Research Centre, Anthropology, Archaeology, History and Earth and Planetary Sciences (Paleontology and Meteoritics) departments, with presentations from Senior Curators who will share some of the unique objects and stories from their areas.
- Arrive 15 min prior to the start of the tour
- Comfortable, enclosed walking shoes recommended
- Light jacket may be required
- Please refrain from bringing briefcases, backpacks or large size handbags to the site
- No food or drink may be consumed inside the collection centres and laboratories
