What an exciting semi final from some of Australia’s up and coming scientists, the contestants explained to the panel of online judges their ground-breaking science research live. Similar to last year, contestants had only 3 minutes to present to a live panel of judges online their leading-edge research. They told their stories with creativity, humour and clarity that really impressed the judges.
The judges deliberated and agreed that Winner Carolyn Wang from The University of Western Australia, Runner-up Stephy Jayasaree from The University of Western Australia and Monique Ryan as the Wild Card from Murdoch University would go through to the National Finals to be held on Thursday 22 July.
The 2021 semi-finalist winners for Western Australia are:
