How does the Early Bird Prize work?

Each ticket purchased equals one chance. Early Bird Draw Closes at 23:59 WST on Monday, 7 September 2020. The draw will be conducted on Wednesday, 9 September 2020.

The Early Bird Prize winner is eligible to win the Major Prize Package.

How does Multi-Chance work?

The more tickets you buy in the Lottery, the more spending money you can win with First Prize.

  • Purchase 6 tickets to receive $5,000 spending money
  • Purchase 4 tickets to receive $2,000 spending money
  • Purchase 2 tickets to receive $1,000 spending money

Can the winner take cash instead of the advertised prize?

No. Prizes are as stated and are not transferable for cash.

What are the odds of winning First Prize?

The odds of winning the Major Prize are directly related to the number of tickets you purchase. For example, if every ticket is sold, the odds of winning (if you purchased 1 ticket) would be 1 in 40,000.

Why are the Lottery tickets $15?

There are many worthy charities who conduct Lotteries, and each have very different prizes and price structures. With only 40,000 tickets available in the Channel 7 We love Museums Lottery, you have a better chance of winning the Major Prize than with most other Lotteries.

What happens if I win?

The Foundation for the WA Museum will notify you. If a current daytime telephone number is on record, we will call you. A letter and email are also prepared immediately following the draw and mailed on the day of the draw.

Tickets not received?

Please allow up to 24 hours for your Lottery purchase email to come through. Depending on your email provider security settings, your e-tickets may have been filtered to the SPAM or JUNK folder.

Can I travel in 2020?

If all Major Prize tickets are sold before 11:59pm on Wednesday 16 September 2020, the Major Prize draw will be conducted on Friday 18 September 2020.

The winner of the Major Prize will be given the opportunity to accept a room booking on the 2020 True North Coral Atoll Adventure (13-18 October 2020).

Who is prohibited from buying tickets in the Lottery?

The following persons are prohibited from purchasing a ticket:

  • —– Board members and employees of the Promoter and its agents, and their immediate family members residing at the same address.

Entrants must be 18 years of age or older and cannot purchase a ticket under the name, or for a minor.

Is this a registered raffle program and how do you allocate Lottery tickets?

Yes. Lottery permit number: LS214968520 has been issued by the Department of Racing, Gaming & Liquor and the permit holder is Denise Cheir, Executive Manager – Business & Communications at the Foundation for the WA Museum.

The Foundation for the WA Museum is committed to full compliance with all legislative and permit requirements with tickets available through the non-profit platform RaffleTix.

All ticket purchases occur online.

Where do I find draw results?

Results for the Early Bird Prize Draw and the Major prize Draw are published on the Foundation for the WA Museum website one day after each Draw.

All results will be published in The West Australian on Saturday 28 November 2020. If drawn earlier, results will also be published prior to this date.

How do I make a tax-deductible donation?

The purchase of Lottery tickets is not considered a tax deduction, however donations over $2 are tax deductible and can be made online at https://www.fwam.com.au/product/general-donation/ or by calling (08) 6552 7474, Monday-Friday 9am-4pm
